Since the holding for ransom of the oppressive feudal knights, most other gangsters considered that beastly method of making money acceptable. Piety just made it more atrocious by decapitations to prove they acted in earnest. Which makes our & Islamic crusades more terroristic. Chinese wisdom had declared the payment of ransom to mere pirates & warlords unacceptable. When caring families did try to have their dear ones released, they paid & used clever tactics to get their money back.
Modern police & rock-hard politicians, as a rule, stopped such cruel exploitation of good hearts in the knowledge that kidnapping for ransom will multiply if it becomes successful moneywise. Born-again crusaders love decapitations & mutilations to prove that their god is the superior lord. In theory, Israel knows her appalling choices but succumbs to the uneven injustice by freeing hundreds of their assassin-prisoners for just one Jew or his corpse.
For the freeing of prisoners is one of the oldest Jewish tradition. Abraham did so long before Moses coined this act as a law which was doubly expressed in the Old Testament. Was not the commanded freeing of slaves every seventh year a powerful & truly religious model for the civilized world? Yet, history proves that the other great religions were not up to snuff. They never honored such true family value.
Comes Rabbi Meir of German Rothenburg. He had watched with worries the burning of books, including his writings & the vilified Talmud along with Jewish homes & people in them without any attempts to even defend Jewish lives since the destruction of the Second Temple. The heroism of the Maccabees & that of resistance fighters against mighty Rome was nullified as uninspired, vain blood victimization.
Like few others, Rabbi Meir knew the categoric imperative of the Talmud which made the ransoming of prisoners the holiest of all duties. But by then, German Jews had been robbed of all their valuables. Money-starved German Führers found out that it was nearly impossible to extract even pennies as ransom. But Emperor Rudolf I of Hasburg was elected to the high post only because he was poor himself & powerless. Thus he was not above trying his luck. The praying Jews didn't have a prayer. They escaped from the homes they had owned for thousand years of exile. They stole at night southward across the Alps hoping to be protected by papal hatred of German rulers.
Poor Rudolf! Still, he seemed happy to have lost the poor Jews. But having learned the talmudic commandment of ransoming prisoners, he captured Rabbi Meir to be thrown in his deepest dungeon. He made it known to Jews all over West Europe that they could free the sage if they could collect his price money & surrender it to the glorious Holy Roman Emperor of German Nations. Yes, Jews did find some funds for ransom. But when the prisoner of bad faith learned that liberating news, he outlawed the paying of prize money. He sneaked out the obvious truth that leading Jews in Spain & Italy would become ransomable captives if he were thusly liberated.
His outright prohibition was forthright in spite of his wearing heavy iron chains. He tried to teach greedy princes & vicious Christians that they couldn't extort riches & reuse that crime of that stronger again & again. The Rabbi preferred to live on a little water & less bread than he had when he was still free. He died in fetters without any mercy from men and God & set the example for modern police & governments.
Rabbi Meir knew that the Kings of England, Richard the Lionhearted, his bother John Lackland & Edward I had imprisoned their few Jews, hanged some of them & drove the rest out when they were penniless. No more Jews in England except for a few baptized medics until Oliver Cromwell considered forcing their Judaism on the heirs of Dan who had conquered much of England as Angles, Saxons & Vikings from Denmark. The Protector of the Commonwealth actually discussed such possibility with Manassah ben Israel, the teacher in Amsterdam of Baruch Spinoza & Hugo Grotius.
Some quibbling historians suggest that the Lord Protector might have competed with his opponent, General Hu(t)chinson, who went all out for the religion of the Hebrews because he was surer of his ancestors in Dan-Mark. He didn't believe that the 2 ½ tribes East of the Jordan were lost in history.
Officially, the English, like the police in their former colonies, U.S.A. & East India, subscribe to Rabbi Meir's imposition, but they usually make their feelings known in common with the rest of the Jew-haters of the world: Jews must share their tiny homeland with their deadliest enemies. All other nations have the right to legislate protective measures for their security. The French may even outlaw religious headgear of school-girls.
Woe to Israel if their non-believing Labor government had even tried to outmuscle the hair-hiding of Muslim & Jewish Orthdox women. Since Kurds & Armenians have at least part of their occupied areas as a self-policing homeland, it is only Israel which is beset by self-righteous Christians & Moslems &, thereby, denied complete independence.
Chirac & Bush voiced their indignation when one mosque was slightly damaged. Have they done as much for Jewish temples, schools or community buildings? Not only culture-alien Arabs over-throw tombstones, smear nazi swastikas on synagogues & attack women, children and frail oldsters. Is there ever any serious attempt to protect the most unprotected but most serious democrats & fairest seekers of even handedness & justice?
Western busybodies forget their own bigoted past when they converted every Moslem mosque & Jewish temple to churches. After 1948, the King of Transjordan outlawed Jewish worship within his occupied West-Bank. No Jew was admitted to their only holy place, the West-Wall of their former Temple. He began to call his country Jordan. It never occurred to him & his Arab colleagues to give his conquest back to the "Palestinians" as their own state. Nor did the Egyptian conquerors of the Gaza Strip consider an independent country for their Arabs.
Indeed, it was in these 2 alien-Arab occupied areas that the demand for just another independency was raised as soon as they recovered from their thorough beating by a small Zionist militia force. Even so-called liberals cannot chuck their medieval prejudices, the bigoted hatred of their military establishment & this country-club aversion to Jewish equality. Whoever praised the good & best citizenship of nearly all Jews in all the countries they deem their homes? Even in their minds lingers the fabrication of the tsarist-Russian Cossacks, the "Learned Elders of Zion".
Yet, it is well known that French Jews defended their France against German Jews who fought well for their anti-Semitic Kaiser. In fact, France & England credited their Jews with conspicuous greatest services, contributions, new patents & fighting hands. Germany could not have stood up for long without the inventions of Prof. Haber, the organisatory force of the Rathenau family & the genius of Ballin, the shipping magnate. The conspiracy theory emigrated to Germany with the refugees from Russia. It is now the dearest to the hearts of heartless Arab terrorists.
In a way, the understanding of our Ku Klux Klan Duke & fellow Neo-Nazis with the Hitler successor Haider in Austria & Black Muslims in the USA is the purest conspiracy on record. However, as long as greedy Jewish lawyers of the A.C.L.U. defend the worst of terrorists, crimes will continue to make good citizens suffer the outrages of maladjusted individuals and the well-planned mass assassinations by self-admitted & proud pious gangstorism.
