May 12, 2004 - Week 34 - Some Basic History

The proud "Grey Wolf" Ot(t)oman Turkish conquerors became fierce Muslims like many cruel converts. They left no upstanding "dhimmi" alive as they expanded into Palestine. Only praying Jews who wanted neither comfort nor common food could hide & die in ruined basements of the Palestinian cities, in the rugged hill country and in hidden caves. They needed no Arabs because they brought with them armies of slaves, kidnapped Christian children from the Caucasus area who soon became stricter Muslims as they grew up to be soldiers. The girls were made sex slaves; only the prettiest, smartest and best cooks married Turkmen from the servile level to the all-powerful sultan.
As all occupiers of new lands, Turkish officers (effendis) took over all arable areas. Their slaves "married" eachother & became the new Palestinians & looked like being part of the good earth after centuries of domestication.
The destruction of forests by a thousand armies during many centuries had created deserts high & low. The usually heavy autumn rains converted fertile plains to malaria-infested swamps, unfit for habitation of any animals but mosquitoes. Still, Arabic Bedouins would cross the Jordan with their flocks of sheep & goats as soon as the hills began to grow grass & weeds from April to June. Few of their women, however, pleased the spoiled Turks or their Circassian favorites. And nobody was annoyed when aging Jewish pilgrims arrived to die in sacred places like Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Beer Sheva & Safed.
Before Russian Zionists & the Rothshield colonies began to dry some of the fever swamps & stored the seasonal waters to make the desert bloom, nobody loved the soil enough to work it regularly. However, Greek and Russian prayer congregations had taken advantage of the "Sick Man of the Bosporus". With the help of Albanian masters of Egypt, the Franks were reborn as French missionaries in a few Christian spots. None of the pious agents of representative religious worked. They depended on "charity for all" in the name of Allah, Jesus or God. Only areas West of the Jordan were bought by the Zionists from Turkish effendis, & the new work ethics began nation building, a redeeming labor of love.
And where did all those Arabs come from after their annihilation by crusaders & Turks? Few of the desert Bedouins crossed the Jordan into likewise forbidding lands. But their families were large & ever increasing. They provided young girls for the many thousands of Turkish soldiers who had little else to do after "Palestine" was theirs to keep for 900 years but rob & rape besides showing up for special parades & occasional training sessions.
Officers were all Turks. Most of their soldiers were Christian boys from the Balkans and the Caucasus. Early converted, they usually were fundamentalists of Sunni piety, religiously more reliable than those born as Mohammedans. Retired from the armed forces, most officers became owners of land. Those of higher rank ruled greater land areas as effendis & emirs. They had the larger harems and flocks of children to match the number of their slaves & the better gardenland for sustenance. Vastly over-populated oasis-like spots in the Palestinian goodlands of greater valleys, coastal strips and natural ports were no showplaces yet.
Over the centuries, colonization areas from Akko to Haifa and Jerusalem to Jaffa became overpopulated Turkish centers. The only population control were plaguelike diseases & civil conflicts. Malaria & pestilence kept fighting overpopulation. But nobody had an effective incentive to labor hard. There were no freedoms for nearly all subjects of the Turkish sultan. Only when Russian Jews bought their first "dunams" of acreage & declared Arabs worthy of membership in their labor union "Histadruth", those slavish non-entities became Arabs. Also little by little, poor persons from Persia and Arab neighborhoods dared joining Jews by dreaming that labor would get them free & equal, no matter how much they hated to work.
President Wilson's war to end all wars & to establish freedom & democracy in place of autocracy and theocracy was cynically exploited by the temporaries of France, England and Italy. While they largely ignored the preachings of pope & prelates, they were happy to assist diverse religious sects to divide body & soul of their colonial subjects.
Oxford students, led by Lawrence, were enthralled by the exiled family of the Sherif of Mecca-Medina, ousted by the more prayerful Wahabbi Saudi family. For 2 sons of that former "King" of the desert, Great Britan invented Transjordan and Syria. Unhappy French clerical generals had Arabic help in ousting the desert rover from his new nation. Generous Britons traded defeat for colonizing Mesopotamia for the twice-bounced Sherifian. He became the ruling oil King of Iraq while the French repossessed Lebanon were the Franks had remained in the spirit since their holy crusades. The French Kings had undercut German power against the Turk-threat by allying themselves with that ever sicker enemy of Russian-Austrian Balkan prospects. Now religious Christians assisted in the reawakening of Islamic pretensions. Military "intelligence", paired with its customary Jew-hatred, usually manages to create insolvable problems which blunt the bite of their arms.
Our Baghdad Pact doomed the royal rulers of Iraq & Iran. Next, our political perversity armed, trained & financed the piously-spirited jihadists of the Muslim world, first against a liberalized Russia &, worse yet, against their friends & motivators. Our own trust in Arabic faith & decency tends to make Israel too vulnerable, too easily entered by young suicidal assassins. The Western World's neo-Nazi assumptions arm every Moslem first against all Jews (they say Zionists) & finally against the West & all who find affinity with its culture of reckless pleasures, commercialism and the will to rule. See how suicidal we, too, have become as also-believers in the predestination and fatalism of the Armageddon idiocy. Now milleni-animists control the living in preparation of bringing about the end of times in unison with bin Laden-Bush.
