WEEKLY WARNING WORDS
March 3, 2004 - Week 24 - Fencing Follies
BY DR. BRUNO J. KEITH
Many of us remember President Reagan's hysterical shouting in 1987: "Mr Gorbachėv, tear down this wall!" That was the most useless declaration of war because that most liberal of Russian communists was already following his adored Mother's fervent wish for peace, for general liberation and human betterment. Gorbachėv's refusal to help East Germany's isolation policies allowed "our" West Germany to pull down the Berlin Wall and its extensions. But what about all other walls?
California's bill #187 which loudmouthed Schwarzenegger supported didn't keep starving Mexicans out, nor could its heartless pro-voters hinder our physicians from treating sick "illegal" children or ousting them from public schools. But the Bushmen keep constructing double fences to lessen the mass-invasion of adjoining states of the Union by lowly, hungry, religious and family-oriented Mexicans. George W. might score partial successes if his rich campaign contributors like the biggest farmers and ranchers, the Walmart and other wholesale China supporters and, above all, if thousands of the junk food colporteurs did not use illegals to get away with below-minimum wage violations. In some sense, these violators of our fencing are true democrats, struggling for the freedom to work for the good of their families and to enrich greedy storekeepers who don't have to pay for their health insurance.
But these "compassionate" Republicans who export well-paying jobs off-shore must tell their big boss that our fences don't compare with tiny Israel's protection of its open borders. For our most valuable ally during the Cold War protective walls and fences are matters of life and death since well-compensated suicide-bombing terrorists take special aim at civilians and mostly the women and children among them.
Once upon a time Israel supported those "Palestinians" by providing jobs, schools, health care and welfare payments for those Arabs. But when their leaders, their schoolteachers and all the imams of mosques everywhere taught openly their religion of hatred and deliberate assassination, Israel was forced to guard its family values. Innocent lives must remain the highest law of morality, ethics and religion. Nobody has the human right to criticize Israel's only possible way to keep out suicide-bombers and other murderers who seek to join Allah and his 1000 houris in Paradise by assassinating unbelievers for their glory and monetary reward. No open borders for gangs of terrorists ever! An open border conspires with bloodthirsty Arab Moslems and their Neo-Nazi indirect sponsors everywhere.
If a solid and high wall or fence keeps out many enemies of humanity who also murder their own friends and relatives if they suspect them of longing for peaceful cooperation, this wall should be strengthened and praised by everyone. All tourists who are thoroughly searched at all airports and other ports of entry should appreciate and defend the right to life of the weakest of any nation before would-be hoodlums are allowed to work their nefarious job among trusting and by nature generous citizens. And to destroy the homes of families near the border who didn't stop bloody aggression is the least retaliation for the most heinous crimes. Obviously, our prevention of this defensive hedge and its needed glacis around it invites another holocaust for which millions of Neo-Nazis seem to vote.
The ever-repeated demands of so-called neutrals for equity and equal justice for Arabs tend to kill Jews, Zionists and even all the poor of their own nation. Equal justice? Didn't we help Kuwait to construct a fence of 150 miles to cut them off from Irak? And long before this unequal justice, we were involved in fencing off South Korea from their northern families and assisted in destroying 2 ½ miles of noman's land between borders.
We were also happy to arrange the building of a fence of 112 miles between the Greek and Turkish parts of Cyprus. Great! Because it made aggressors think; and they now begin to talk to each other about peace and mutual help. Or did we ever chide unhappy India for building a fence 1800 miles in length to prevent our friendly Pakistanis from murdering Indian women and children?
Why then condemn Israelis, Jews and their few decent friends for making the pious labors of murder gangs more difficult? It is high time that our government, all other influential Americans and the good people elsewhere begin to praise the peaceful intention of separating 2 irreconciliatory neighbors and thus prevent a new round of wars. Should our most reliable allies not be allowed to follow our own homeland security devices? Would we not run all over every unfriendly neighbor if they were continually swearing to destroy us utterly and forever? Perhaps the complete shutting off of an aggressive enemy might stop their perpetual teaching of murder, and their future generations might prefer peaceful cooperation.
